{"id":16147,"date":"2024-07-23T08:59:23","date_gmt":"2024-07-23T07:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grupoazvinews.com\/azvi-participa-nuevo-proyecto-innovacion-comar\/"},"modified":"2024-07-29T09:50:52","modified_gmt":"2024-07-29T08:50:52","slug":"azvi-new-comar-innovation-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grupoazvinews.com\/en\/azvi-new-comar-innovation-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Azvi participates in new COMAR innovation project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"center\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><i><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; color: windowtext;\">New Technologies for Chemical and Mixed Recycling of COMposites to Boost the Circular Economy at Scale.<\/span><\/i><\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azvi.es\/en\/portfolio\/comar\/\">COMAR<\/a> project focuses on finding new ways to recycle and reuse waste from composites based on thermosetting and vitrimeric matrices, through various chemical recycling techniques, such as pyrolysis and solvolysis.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the project is to develop new products for the construction, wind energy, and transportation sectors from the materials obtained by recycling composite waste, using conditions that allow the mechanical properties of the recovered fibres to be preserved or restored if necessary. The by-products obtained, for example, in processes like solvolysis, will lead to the formation of new matrices that can be used in these sectors or others of interest.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;16056&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The objectives are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish innovative routes for the reuse and recycling of waste from composites, aiming to minimize energy consumption and maximize the properties of the recovered fibres.<\/li>\n<li>Improve the sustainability of the composites industry by revaluing the by-products.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the environmental impact of solvolysis and pyrolysis processes by researching the use of catalysts.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a waste valorisation strategy for each application.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the circular economy in the composites sector.<\/li>\n<li>Foster digitalization and Industry 4.0 in the composites sector to improve productivity, quality, and costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With its participation, Azvi will develop new formulations of asphalt mixes that incorporate recycled carbon or glass fibres from the valorisation of composite waste from the wind and automotive sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The company aims to modernize its products by adding high performance materials that are currently limited in the sector, positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in asphalt mixes.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Azvi has integrated sustainability into its strategy and business model as a fundamental basis for its value creation objective. This commitment ensures the continued building of a future ready company capable of facing new market challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Azvi is carrying out this project in consortium with MESbook, Rover Grupo, InCom, SOFITEC, AEROX, UBE Corporation Europe , and T\u00e9cnicas Reunidas.<\/p>\n<p>The project has been funded by the CDTI, under the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades) , and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Multi-Regional Operational Program Spain ERDF 2021-2027.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text] New Technologies for Chemical and Mixed Recycling of COMposites to Boost the Circular Economy at Scale.
