2.2km section of the <strong>San Sebastian metro<\/strong>, between <strong>Altza and Galtzaraborda<\/strong>, was visited by the new Basque Minister for Sustainable Mobility, <strong>Susana Garc\u00eda Chueca<\/strong>, who, in her speech, \u00a0expressed her &#8220;sincere appreciation to the contractors&#8221; for the work carried out.<\/p>\n<p>Garc\u00eda Chueca, \u00a0joined \u00a0by the Deputy for Infrastructures and Transport, <strong>Miguel \u00c1ngel P\u00e1ez<\/strong>, the General Director of ETS, <strong>Antonio L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, and the Mayor of Pasajes, <strong>Teo Alberro<\/strong>, was able to see &#8216;in situ&#8217;, alongside \u00a0Azvi&#8217;s Civil Works Director, <strong>Carlos Puebla<\/strong>, the diaphragm walls and the upper slab that have served as a &#8216;caisson&#8217; to complete the excavation between the retaining walls.<\/p>\n<p>Major progress:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work has started on the <strong>Pasajes terminal structures<\/strong>, including the counter vault and access ramp.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Galtzaraborda front<\/strong>, excavation by roadheader continues in the tunnel leading to Pasaia station using the New Austrian Tunelling Method (NATM ) \u00a0having already advanced 360 metres of the total 744 metres.<\/li>\n<li>Work continues on the <strong>lining of the tunnel that will link Altza and Pasajes<\/strong>, with 440metres completed out of the planned 940metres also using the NATM method..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work on the San Sebastian metro is being carried out in a joint venture with <strong>COMSA<\/strong>, Nort\u00fanel, <strong>CAMPEZO Obras y Servicios<\/strong> for <strong>Euskal Trenbide Sarea<\/strong> (ETS).<\/p>\n<p>We remain committed to sustainable, modern, safe and
