mandatory extensions<\/strong> of public contracts.<\/p>\nAmong the main risks, he highlighted the impact of inflation, the increase in labour costs, regulatory changes and unforeseeable events, which affect the economic sustainability of contracts, especially in the case of the mandatory extension of long-term contracts.<\/p>\n
He also stressed the need for more flexible legislation than the current one, favouring the adaptation of the contract to the circumstances prevailing at the time of the mandatory extension, in order to guarantee the contract\u2019s correct execution while avoiding losses for the contractor.<\/p>\n
