{"id":20782,"date":"2026-05-14T09:53:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T07:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grupoazvinews.com\/azvi-encara-la-recta-final-del-metro-de-san-sebastian\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T14:56:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T12:56:00","slug":"azvi-enters-the-final-stretch-of-the-san-sebastian-metro-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grupoazvinews.com\/en\/azvi-enters-the-final-stretch-of-the-san-sebastian-metro-works\/","title":{"rendered":"Azvi enters the final stretch of the San Sebasti\u00e1n Metro works"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are approaching the final stretch of our works on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azvi.es\/portfolio\/construccion-metro-san-sebastian\/\"><strong>San Sebasti\u00e1n metro<\/strong><\/a>: a new 2.2 km section, constructed almost entirely in tunnel.<\/p>\n<p>The works were visited this week by the <strong>Basque Government\u2019s Minister for Sustainable Mobility of the Basque Government<\/strong>, <strong>Susana Garc\u00eda Chueca<\/strong>, accompanied by <strong>Deputy Minister Miguel \u00c1ngel P\u00e1ez<\/strong>, <strong>ETS\u00b4s CEO<\/strong>, <strong>Antonio L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, and <strong>Euskotren\u00b4s CEO, Javier Seoane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by <strong>Azvi\u2019s Regional Director for Civil Works North<\/strong> ,<strong> Jos\u00e9 Antonio Varela<\/strong>, as well as other representatives of the joint venture carrying out the works (<strong>COMSA<\/strong>, <strong>Nort\u00fanel<\/strong> and <strong>Campezo<\/strong>), the delegation were able to see the advanced stage of the works:<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39<strong>Altza-Galtzaraborda section:<\/strong> slab track installation(1,940 m) completed, with only a short section of approximately 140 m of ballast track remaining in the area closest to Galtzaraborda.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udd39<strong>Pasajes Station:<\/strong> final finishing works are nearing completion.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udd39<strong>Galtzaraborda area:<\/strong> works continue to complete the track and connect the station with the current track.<br \/>\n\ud83d\udd39<strong>Gure Zumardia Square:<\/strong> urban works on the segment between Hamarretxeta and Gelasio Aramburu are complete, with works continuing on the remainder of the square.<\/p>\n<p>We continue making progress on a key infrastructure project to promote more sustainable, efficient, and connected mobility in San Sebasti\u00e1n and its metropolitan area, encouraging the use of rail public transport as the alternative for the future.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"lqd-img-gal\">\n\n\t<div class=\"lqd-img-gal-imgs\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"carousel-container carousel-nav-floated carousel-nav-center carousel-nav-middle carousel-nav-lg carousel-nav-solid carousel-nav-circle carousel-nav-appear-onhover carousel-dots-mobile-inside\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"carousel-items\" data-lqd-flickity='{ \"prevNextButtons\": true, \"navArrow\": \"6\", \"parallax\": true, \"adaptiveHeight\": true }' id=\"lqd-image-gallery-6a077d5ba92a4main-carousel\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><!-- \/.carousel-items -->\n\t\t<\/div><!-- \/.carousel-container -->\n\n\t<\/div><!-- \/.lqd-img-gal-imgs -->\n\n\t<div class=\"lqd-img-gal-thumbs\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"carousel-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"carousel-items\" data-lqd-flickity='{ \"contain\": false, \"pageDots\": false, \"asNavFor\": \"#lqd-image-gallery-6a077d5ba92a4main-carousel\" }'>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><!-- \/.carousel-items -->\n\t\t<\/div><!-- \/.carousel-container -->\n\n\t<\/div><!-- \/.lqd-img-gal-thumbs -->\n\n<\/div><!-- \/.lqd-img-gal -->[\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are approaching the final stretch of our works on the San Sebasti\u00e1n metro: a new 2.2 km section, constructed almost entirely in tunnel.
