The CEO of Cointer Concesiones, Alfonso Budiño, and the Director of Business Development, Javier Medina, participated in the 12th edition of the annual congress on investment and infrastructure financing: Investructuras 2022, organised by IFAES.
The director of Cointer took part in the panel CEO’s Perspective: Analysis, challenges and obstacles, in which he had the opportunity to address the major global challenges that require large investments, such as population growth, population ageing, or technological transformation, as well as the current context of debt and budgetary constraints.
Also discussed were the incorporation of ESG criteria into business models and the importance of private initiative for the development of concessions, which is common in countries such as Australia, Italy, South Korea and Chile.
Budiño participated in this panel alongside the CEO of Acciona Concessions, Diego Marín, the CEO of Sacyr Concesiones, Rafael Gómez del Río, and the CEO of Aldesa Actividades de Inversión, José María Argüelles de Bustillo.
Cointer’s Director of Business Development participated in the panel Opportunities, risks and strategies in the international market, which analysed the main motivations for investing in certain countries or regions, the opportunities in infrastructures in the short, medium and long term, as well as the type of projects and investment models.
He was joined by Bosco Eguilior, Head of Construction and Infrastructure Clients at BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking, Roberto Homrados, Director of Business Development and Support at Aleatica, and Javier Martínez-Cañavate, Director of Development and Infrastructure at Sacyr Concesiones.
