At Azvi, we continue to work on the transformation of Chamartín station into a strategic mobility hub, increasing its capacity and rail connections.
Upcoming commissioning to take place:
- Tracks 5 to 8 of the conventional network and platforms 4 and 5.
- Provisional lobby of the conventional network.
- High-speed lines 18 and 19 and platform 11.
- High-speed lines 20 and 21 in the northern head and platforms 13 and 14 in connection with the new lines (23 to 25) and the high-speed section.
Our team is also making progress on the main high-speed lobby and authorities building, as well as structural reinforcements under the station and the extension of the underpasses associated with the four new high-speed lines in the north head.
These works are part of the final phase of the project, which will enhance the station’s high-speed capacity. This will require the connection and electrification of the tracks, as well as the installation of track equipment and control, command and signalling (CCS) systems, without interrupting commercial traffic.
