Instituto Icada held yesterday in Seville the closing ceremony of its comprehensive training program for middle management, Leaders 2021–2022, during which diplomas were awarded to students from classes 24 and 25.
The event was chaired by María Luisa Domínguez González, President of Adif; Manuel Contreras Caro, President of Grupo Azvi; and Javier Fernández-Montes Fernández, President of the Icada Foundation. It took place at the Instituto Icada and featured Francisco Iván Martínez Sánchez, Vice President of Airbus, who delivered the closing lecture titled “Middle Management and Industry 4.0.”
The President of the Icada Foundation highlighted the excellent relationship between the institute and Grupo Azvi:
“It was actually Manuel Contreras who encouraged us to enter the railway sector—something we had not considered. As a result of our joint work with Grupo Azvi, we are now an accredited center for the training of train drivers and other key railway professions. We cannot be teaching what the real world does not demand,” he emphasized.
In this context, the President of Adif spoke about the importance of railway training, especially for the state’s railway infrastructure manager, which is implementing a strategic human resources plan that will involve a significant generational shift through the recruitment of approximately 6,000 people. Therefore, she stressed, training at all levels is essential.
