Azvi and ApoSys progress with new applications for intelligent infrastructure monitoring

At Azvi, we continue to explore new ways of applying technology to infrastructure management, conservation and maintenance.

Together with ApoSys Technologies, a Canadian company specialising in infrastructure intelligence and the manufacture of automation machinery, and our technology partner in the R&D&I project RIMF (Railway Infrastructure Monitoring Framework), we held a working session to review the results obtained and assess new applications for the solutions developed.

During the meeting, we made progress in a range of areas:

  • Railway monitoring through onboard sensors.
  • Predictive maintenance based on advanced data analysis.
  • Application of these technologies in clearance measurement campaigns.
  • New opportunities for implementation in international projects.
  • Development of intelligent road inspection solutions supported by artificial intelligence.

The objective is to obtain increasingly precise data on the condition of railway and road infrastructure, anticipate maintenance needs and improve management efficiency.

The session, organised by Grupo Azvi’s Innovation and Digital Transformation Department, was led by its Director, Domingo Pérez Mira, and brought together professionals from across Azvi and its subsidiaries.

Alongside representatives from ApoSys Technologies, participants from Azvi included José Ángel Rodríguez Paredes, Juan Pérez, José Antonio Varela, César Casanova, Eduardo Osorio and Ignacio Martín Bernal. Construcciones Urales was represented by its General Manager, Augustin Barralon, and Ángel Iglesias; and Traccion Rail by its Manager David Díaz.

A new opportunity to continue promoting technological solutions applied to smarter, more efficient and more sustainable infrastructure.
