At Grupo Azvi, we are proud to support, together with Grupo Joly, the La Mirada Ingeniera Award, an initiative created to recognise the excellence, leadership and contribution of women engineers in Andalusia, while inspiring STEM vocations in future generations.
The jury comprising Rocío Mesa, Digital Transformation Director at Grupo Joly; Rebeca Rodríguez, Director of Technical Studies at Azvi; Concha Santos, President of ANCI; Alberto Marina Moreno, Dean of the Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla Branch of the Spanish Association of Civil Engineers; Juan Carlos Durán, Dean of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Western Andalusia; and Juan José Nievas, Dean of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Eastern Andalusia, will assess each application based on a number of criteria including:
- Technical excellence and leadership.
- Applied innovation and involvement in landmark projects.
- The economic, social and territorial impact of the candidate’s work.
- Commitment to outreach, education and equal opportunities.
The award aims to give visibility to role models who inspire others, helping to advance towards a more diverse, innovative engineering profession that is better equipped to address the major challenges facing society.
Because recognising role models also means building the future of a more diverse and inclusive engineering profession.
