Azvi obtains Aenor certification for its activities in Norway
As part of its commitment to Health and Safety, the Environment, and Quality, Azvi has achieved certification from Aenor for its management systems implemented in Norway. The scope of this certification, in accordance with standards UNE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 45001, and UNE-EN ISO 14001, covers the execution of projects as well as the construction, renewal, and maintenance of railway, high-speed rail, metro, and tramway works.
To obtain this certification — which highlights Azvi’s firm commitment to developing its activities in the Nordic market — the company identified all legal requirements for Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Management, as well as other regulations applicable to the projects currently underway in the country.
This process required adapting Azvi’s Management Systems and developing new plans in the aforementioned areas, in addition to training site personnel to ensure compliance with all requirements.
The participation and commitment of the teams throughout the implementation and Aenor auditing process were crucial to the successful certification, during which the audit team verified compliance with all applicable legal and technical requirements.
Azvi is currently carrying out, for Bane NOR (the Norwegian railway infrastructure manager), the expansion and rehabilitation of the Ulriken Tunnel, which is 7.7 km long. The company also installed the first slab track ever built in the Nordic country.
