On September 25, 2015, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, marking a global milestone in the pursuit of a more just and sustainable future. This ambitious plan is based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 specific targets designed to improve the quality of people’s lives, protect the planet, promote prosperity and ensure global peace by 2030. .
One of the key pillars of the 2030 Agenda is the crucial role of the private sector. Businesses not only have significant responsibilities, but also a unique opportunity to align their strategies with the principles of equity and sustainability.
