Azvi participated in the First Sustainable Infrastructure Fair of Andalucía (Insoan 2023), held in Seville on March 2 and 3. The event was inaugurated by the Mayor of Seville, Antonio Muñoz, the Minister of Development and Housing, Marifrán Carazo Villalonga, and the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Carmen Crespo.
Organized by the Association of Developers and Builders of Seville (GAESCO Sevilla) and FIBES – Seville Exhibition and Congress Center, Insoan brought together leading companies in the sector, showcasing projects currently being implemented using new technologies in water treatment infrastructure, transportation, urban mobility, port logistics, prefabrication of buildings and essential housing elements, as well as new materials available for more sustainable construction.
César Domínguez, Director of the Railway Area, and Óscar Artesero, Group Leader of South-East Works, participated in the second day of Insoan 2023.
César Domínguez gave a lecture on “Railway and Sustainable Mobility of the Future”, emphasizing the importance of rail as a safe and sustainable means of transportation. He promoted its use for freight transport while highlighting the gaps in our community, such as the transversal axis and direct train connections between provincial capitals.
Óscar Artesero participated in a roundtable discussion on the need to promote Andalucía’s road and railway infrastructure and to resume major transportation projects in the autonomous community, as seen in the metro expansions in Seville, Málaga, and Granada. These infrastructures are especially relevant considering the growth of metropolitan areas and their mobility needs, as well as the search for more sustainable transportation alternatives like rail.
