Our Sustainability Director, Guillermo Sánchez Díaz, took part in the round table “Business sustainability from Andalusia: practices to transform business and generate impact”, held as part of the event “Sustainability, competitiveness and impact for the future”, organized by Fundación MAS to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The round table, held in collaboration with the UN Global Compact Spain, brought together Delia Pascual Salvador, Sustainability and Marketing Director at Grupo MAS; Ana Ballesteros Regañá, President of the CSR and Sustainability Committee of the Confederation of Employers of Seville; and Anselmo Presencio Fernández, Director of Fundación Persán, all of whom shared good practices, challenges and opportunities for integrating sustainability into business strategy and generating value. The session was moderated by Marta Aldudo, Strategic Engagement and Participation Coordinator at the UN Global Compact Spain.
Speaking during the debate, Grupo Azvi’s Sustainability Director focused on several key points:
- The need for sustainability and profitability to advance hand in hand.
- The importance of integrating sustainability into strategy, projects and day-to-day activity.
- The role of cross-functional collaboration and communication in generating impact both on the environment and on the business.
After the Regional Minister for Sustainability, Fina Martínez Guirado, and the President of GRUPO MAS and Fundación MAS, Vicente Martín opened the event, Isabel Roser, Local Corporate Development Coordinator at the UN Global Compact Spain addressed the attendees. The event provided an opportunity to share experiences and reflect on the role of sustainability as a driver of innovation, competitiveness and business transformation.
