The Minister of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport of the Basque Government, Iñaki Arriola, and the Mayoress of Pasaia, Izaskun Gómez, have visited Azvi’s works on the extension of the San Sebastian underground.
Together with Comsa, Nortúnel and Campezo Obras y Servicios, Azvi is working on the construction of a section of the new route. The 2,115m stretchconnects Altza and Galtzaraborda stations. 1,658 m run through a mine tunnel that is being executed with the New Austrian Method using a road header machine:221.8 m in a cut-and-cover tunnel and 235 m in the open air between diaphragm walls.
