Azvi champions diversity and female talent in key sectors: “Women in Engineering”

As part of our commitment to promoting equal opportunities and female talent, Grupo Azvi, in collaboration with Grupo Joly, hosted an interesting conference yesterday on the topic of  “Women in Engineering: the gender divide in key sectors”. The event brought together female leaders to discuss the challenges and advancements made towards creating a more inclusive and diverse sector.

Our colleague Ana Galán, a civil engineer and Project Manager for the Madrid Centro Joint Venture, shared her professional experience, highlighting how the technical and human challenges in the projects she has worked in have helped her grow both personally and professionally.

  • “I  have always worked in teams which have treated me with respect and valued me as an equal professional”.
  • “Men and women see things differently, but that does not separate us. In fact, we complement each other. Together we are stronger”.
  • “Young people should not shy away from this field. The impact and contribution of engineering to society is as great as it is gratifying”.

Her message is clear and positive: it is time to demystify the preconceptions and uncertainty surrounding the engineering sector.

Also participating in the round table event were Ana María Vielba, General secretary of the Andalusian Audiovisual Board, Almudena Gómez Velarde, Industrial Engineer and Technical General Secretary of the Presidency Board,  Olga Carrión, Director of the Andalusian Institute of Women, Ana Jaúregui, Dean of the Official College of Industrial Engineering Graduates and Technicians in Seville, and Ana María Marco, Vice-president of the Women and Society Forum and lecturer at the School of Engineering, Seville.

At Grupo Azvi, we continue to build a future based on diversity, equality and shared talent!
