Construcciones Urales has been recognised by the Mexican Institute of Steel Construction (IMCA) at the 2026 IMCA Awards for Architectural and Structural Excellence in Steel, for its participation in the Chalco–Santa Marta Trolleybus project.
The award was presented in the infrastructure: Pedestrian Crossings and Bridges category, highlighting the quality of the civil works carried out and the use of steel as a key structural element in both the terminal station and the curved viaduct
The Chalco–Santa Marta Trolleybus project is an example of how engineering, innovation, and specialised construction can come together to deliver infrastructure that improves urban mobility and makes a positive impact on communities. The efficient use of steel made it possible to achieve high standards of safety, functionality, and structural performance.
Presented by one of Mexico’s leading institutions in promoting best practices in steel design and construction, this award recognises Construcciones Urales’ commitment to technical excellence and the delivery of high-quality infrastructure serving society.
