Azvi, together with its project partners, OHLA and Rover, has completed the assembly of the final crane that will enable the construction of Lot 1 of what is set to be the world’s largest judicial complex: Madrid’s City of Justice.
With the installation of the eighth and final crane, the project has now reached significant milestones. Retaining structures, foundations, ground slabs, the earthworks network and drainage works are 100 per cent complete, with the exception of the access ramps to the site.
Following the start of floor slab works in early September, once authorisation had been obtained from AESA for the installation of the cranes, work has continued at a steady pace after a year of construction:
- 600,000 m³ excavated.
- 13,500 m of piles.
- 10,000 m³ of strip footings.
- 25,000 m² of floor slabs concreted between September and October.
A new milestone in the construction of one of the main buildings of Madrid’s future judicial complex.
