Grupo Azvi participates in an R&D project to promote AI in transport infrastructures

At Grupo Azvi, we remain committed to innovation. We have just held the inaugural meeting of INARTRANS, a new initiative to promote the use of artificial intelligence in the transport infrastructure sector.

The aim of this project is to accelerate digital transformation and increase competitiveness in the construction sector. This boost will be applied throughout the infrastructure value chain: construction, operation and maintenance, with a strong component related to information systems and data governance.

The project is funded by the Science and Innovation Missions programme of the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation and the grants for R&D projects in strategic lines of collaboration between research organisations and knowledge dissemination awarded by the National Research Agency (AEI), as part of the TRANSMISSIONS initiative in 2023.

This initiative, promoted by the Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC) as an innovation ecosystem, has become a reality thanks to the collaboration of several private companies, technology centres and universities:

CDTI Cluster: Acciona Construcción (project and CDTI cluster coordinator), Grupo Azvi, Indra Sistemas, JIG Internet Consulting, MainRail and Virtualmech.

AEI Cluster: Centro Tecnológico de la Construcción de la Región de Murcia (CTCON), coordinator of the AEI cluster, Instituto Tecnológico de Rocas Ornamentales y Materiales de Construcción de Extremadura (INTROMAC), Tekniker, The University of Alcalá and the Politécnica de Madrid University.
