Humanitas Bilingual School El Cañaveral opens new facilities at the start of the school year

Humanitas Bilingual School El Cañaveral has begun the new school year with close to 1,000 students and new facilities, following the completion of Phase III of construction.

With the completion of these works, carried out by Azvi, the school incorporates a range of new spaces dedicated to students’ academic, sporting and social activities including Building C, new common areas, a swimming pool and an auditorium.

The school has also reached an important sustainability milestone, becoming the second educational centre in Spain and the third in the world to have a comprehensive air-source heat pump system. This energy model enables the school to operate at 100% energy efficiency and reduce its annual energy costs by up to 35%.

Cointer, through HCE Humanitas Centros de Educación, manages Humanitas Bilingual School El Cañaveral and has a strong track record in the education sector. Its network also includes Humanitas Bilingual School Tres Cantos, Humanitas Bilingual School Torrejón de Ardoz and Legamar International School, a private school with more than 45 years of experience offering education from Early Childhood through to Secondary level.

The new school year got off to a memorable starty, with live music to welcome students on their first day.
