Ispalvia, the railway electrification subsidiary of Grupo Azvi, has acquired the latest generation APV 500 dresine. This continues the company’s investment plan in machinery initiated in 2021 to respond to the most demanding contracts.
It is a multi-purpose APV 520 SPAZIO 10 model, for the construction and maintenance of electric railway traction lines, prepared to work on both international and Iberian gauge. This innovative vehicle is specially designed to operate on electric traction lines.
Specifications
The dresine is made up of a metal structure chassis, railway-type running gear, with a pneumatically-operated braking system, a propulsion unit with diesel engine and Allison converter, two driving cabs with command and control systems, a hydraulic crane with a basket for carrying people, a SPAZIO 10 work platform that lifts, moves and rotates for work on catenary lines.
It also has tools and accessories on the platform, two wire positioners to move the contact wire and the support. A pantograph is mounted on the main cabin to check the height and offset parameters of the catenary, visible from both the platform and the cabin.
