Manfevias, the railway maintenance company of Grupo Azvi, has begun maintenance for ArcelorMittal on 219 wagons used for transporting pig iron, including 37 torpedo wagons, at the steel company’s facilities in Avilés and Gijón (Asturias).
Additionally, Manfevias will be responsible for responding to any derailments or incidents that may occur at these industrial plants.
The contract has a duration of 3+2 years and reinforces Manfevias—certified by the Spanish Railway Safety Agency (AESF) as an authorized maintenance entity for freight wagons, locomotives, and track machines—as a leading company in railway vehicle maintenance at the national level.
