The Management Committee of the ArcelorMittal’s Asturias Cluster has recognised the work carried out by Manfevias in implementing the Japanese ‘5S’ technique in its La Barca workshop, as part of the internal maintenance contract the company carries out for the steel company.
The main objective is to minimise waste by maximising order, cleanliness and organisation, . This has been achieved thanks to the commitment of all Manfevias staff. The approach has improved daily operations and created a safer and more pleasant working environment for everyone.
The pillars of this method, which include sorting (Seiri), order (Seiton), cleanliness (Seiso), standardisation (Seiketsu) and discipline (Shitsuke), have transformed the efficiency and productivity of the workshop.
Manfevias has implemented this Japanese work organisation technique together with the ArcelorMittal ‘s Central Maintenance, Internal Transport and Warehouse Department .
Congratulations to the Manfevias team for this recognition! Laura Herrero Harnández, Enrique Villazón González, José Manuel Fernández Díaz, Santiago Robles and Alberto Díaz de Vega.
