In the first half of the year, the airports managed by Cointer Chile recorded an increase in the number of passengers, despite the severe weather conditions of recent months.
- 23% at La Florida airport in La Serena, with 455,000 passengers.
- 2.4% at Punta Arenas Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport (Austral Airport Newtwork), with 254,000 passengers.
- 8.3% at Balmaceda aerodrome (Austral Airport Newtwork), with 163,000 passengers.
The three airport infrastructures also obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Our concessionaire has been awarded the contracts to operate, develop and maintain the infrastructure, equipment and facilities of the Austral Airport Network for a maximum of 32 years and La Florida Airport in La Serena for a maximum of 22 years. Currently, Azvi is carrying out the expansion of the terminal and apron at Balmaceda aerodromeand is beginning the construction of La Florida de La Serena Airport.
