Rocío Díaz visits the Granada Metro works being carried out by Azvi

Rocío Díaz, Andalusia’s Regional Minister for Development, Territorial Planning and Housing, visited our works on the southern extension of the Granada Metro, on the Churriana de la Vega–Las Gabias section. Representing Azvi was Tomás Jodra, Regional Manager for Civil Works, South.

During the visit, the Minister was able to see the progress of the works firsthand and tour the future viewing plaza over the Dílar River, a new space integrated into the project that will enhance the surrounding area and provide an attractive amenity for local residents.

The 26-metre-long, 56-metre-wide structure combines a tram platform with a pedestrian walkway and a cycle path. Designed to improve mobility, the viaduct is also respectfully integrated into the natural landscape of the area.

A commemorative plaque was also unveiled to mark the route of the former tram tracks through this location, acknowledging the area’s history and railway heritage.

We continue making progress in the execution of infrastructure that improves mobility and contributes to the development of Spain.
