The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Mertínez-Almeida, have this morning visited the remodelling works in the Puerta del Sol and surrounding areas, carried out by Madrid Centro, the temporary business association formed by Azvi and Licuas.
Accompanied, among others, by the president of Grupo Azvi, Manuel Contreras, and the president of Licuas, Joaquín Molpeceres, they were able to see first-hand the current state of these actions that will allow residents and visitors, as well as local traders, to enjoy as always, a Christmas season with space, lights and joy.
After the Christmas festivities, works will be completed on the fountain which will become home to the statue of Carlos III, and both the Bear and Strawberry Tree fountain and the Mariblanca fountain will be moved to their new locations.
Azvi continues to work towards “The Madrid of the future”, aiming to make Spain’s capital a more habitable and sustainable city.
