The statue of Charles III is back in Puerta del Sol, presiding over it from its permanent location opposite Calle Mayor.
The Azvi and Licuas team, united in the Madrid Centro joint venture, carried out a complex and delicate manoeuvre in a historic location through which thousands of people pass every day. The operation took place in two phases.
The first took place in the early hours of Saturday night and consisted of the transfer and placement of the pedestal.
The second concluded yesterday with the placement of the equestrian sculpture in the centre of what will be the square’s new fountain.
We continue to work on the remodelling of this emblematic enclave in Madrid, committed to and forming part of the transformation of the city.
