Grupo Azvi’s concessionaire positions itself as a leading logistics operator in Chile, where it operates a further four key logistics centres.
The company has been authorized by Chile’s State Customs Service to begin operating the San Antonio Warehouse as an outer port area, after a year in operation as a storage area.
Strategically located on Route 78, in the city of Malvilla, on the main route between the Port of San Antonio and Santiago, the facility will provide comprehensive, efficient, safe and highly competitive solutions for the cargo handled in the terminals of this major port. This project builds on the extensive experience and know-how acquired by Cointer Chile in the management of other important logistics centres in the country, such as ZEAL, located in the Port of Valparaíso. .
The new warehouse has storage capacity for 2,500 TEUs (20 foot equivalent unit containers) and 1,500m2 for general freight. In addition, the San Antonio Outer Port Warehouse CLEP will offer freight consolidation and deconsolidation services and is equipped to connect and monitor reefer containers allowing for temperature regulation according to client requirements. The facility also provides comprehensive services for its clients’ logistics chains from the port of San Antonio to their warehouses and vice versa.
With an area of 5 hectares, its construction required an investment of 8.6 million euros by Cointer Chile and CCTI, two companies with extensive experience in the transportation and logistics sector and will operate for the next 20 years.
