Our team has completed the excavation of the 334-metre Sasuategi ventilation and emergency gallery. This has enabled us to start the works on the 494-metre-long double-track line tunnel which will reach Pasaia station.
These works are being carried out with a tunnel boring machine given the particular technical characteristics of the terrain.
Azvi celebrates this new milestone in the construction of the San Sebastian underground bypass, between Altza and Galtzaraborda, which it is carrying out in joint venture with COMSA, Nortúnel and Campezo Obras y Servicios S.A. for Euskal Trenbide Sarea – Basque Railway Network (ETS).
These actions contribute to our achievement of SDG9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure), SDG11 (Sustainable cities and communities) and SDG13 (Climate action).
