Traccion Rail showcases the Salamanca Dry Port at SIL Barcelona

Traccion Rail  participated in SIL 2026, Barcelona’s International Logistics Trade Fair. The event provided an opportunity to highlight the potential of the Salamanca Dry Port, recently awarded to our company for operation.

Our colleague José Castellano represented Traccion Rail at the event, which brought together the main players in the logistics and railway sectors to analyse the challenges and opportunities of intermodal transport.

This project represents a significant opportunity to boost rail freight and strengthen Salamanca’s role as a strategic logistics hub connecting the Iberian Peninsula and Portuguese ports.

The concession includes an investment of €5 million to expand the terminal’s storage capacity and develop it into a leading logistics platform.

In addition, future certification to operate in Portugal will help strengthen international freight flows and open up new growth opportunities for the terminal.

Proud to contribute to the future of more sustainable and competitive transport.
