Two New Contracts for Ispalvia

Ispalvia continues to expand its project portfolio with the award of two new contracts amounting to 2.3 million euros.

The first contract involves carrying out, together with the company CYMI, the electrification works included in the construction project for the new RENFE High-Speed Fuencarral II workshop and self-propelled track yard, located in the Madrid Norte Complex.

This expansion of the Fuencarral Base includes the construction of a new workshop covering 18,690 square meters and two track yards, with more than 13 km of high-speed rail and 8 km in the self-propelled area, in order to increase train parking capacity. It is one of the most important railway complexes in Spain, registering more than 7 million movements of commuter, conventional medium-distance, and high-speed units.

The electrification works to be carried out by Ispalvia include the installation of anchors and poles for gantries and brackets; assembly of gantries and brackets; installation of the messenger wire and contact wire; installation of section insulators; droppers and adjustment; installation of disconnectors and the catenary interlocking system in the workshop.

The second contract involves various renovation and refurbishment works on several tracks at Renfe’s Integral Maintenance Base in Villaverde, which are in addition to the works that Ispalvia is already carrying out for the maintenance of track and catenary infrastructure in Renfe’s Maintenance Bases and Railway Complexes.
