Azvi, in partnership with CHM, has begun works on a key project for mobility in the Valencian Community: the comprehensive renovation of the historic Játiva-Alcoy railway line.
Key works include:
- Complete renovation of 64 km of track: replacement of rails, sleepers, ballast and turnouts.
- Preparation for electrification: adaptation of tunnels and structures.
- Station modernization: platform extensions and commissioning of a third track at Ontinyent station.
- Metal bridge improvements : installation of elastic derailers, replacement of fastenings and renewal of sleepers.
The renovation of this railway line, as part of the Valencian Community’s Suburban Rail Plan, will contribute to a more efficient, safe and sustainable transport, aligned with SDG 9.
