Azvi continues to make progress in the transformation of Chamartín station with the completion of the structural reinforcement for the new taxi rank. This work expands the station by more than 6,000 m², creating a new urban square.
As part of this project, the metal reinforcement of portico 48 has been completed, marking the final milestone in the reinforcement of the set of five structural porticos carried out over more than a year and a half of work.
Main characteristics:
- Assembly of 150 m of structure with almost 400 tonnes of structural steel.
- Installation of 62 double T-beams (Puma type) measuring between 9 and 18 metres, with a total length of 800 metres and combined weight of 400 tonnes.
- Use of heavy-duty cranes and specialised equipment.
- Work carried out 24/7.
- Logistical planning lasting more than four months.
