Azvi has carried out track renovation work for Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) on the Muntaner-Las Tres Torres section of the Barcelona-Vallès line.
The replacement of ballasted track with slab track, with DFF/ADH elastic fastenings, was carried out continuously over 10 days, with various actions being carried out simultaneously along the entire section.
- Lifting and removal of the track.
- Removal of ballast.
- Concreting of the slab.
- Installation of 254 metres of double track on slab.
- Installation of 776 metres of track on slab in single track area.
- Adjustment of the position of the rigid catenary.
These actions achieve the following:
- Improved stability of the track, dampening vibrations and structural noise.
- Easier track maintenance work.
- Improved evacuation and drainage system conditions.
The work was carried out in a joint venture with Tecsa.
