Azvi has commenced operations in Denmark with the execution of a railway maintenance project for Banedanmark along a total of 396 km of the Danish state railway network.
For the next two years, Azvi will be responsible for the manual maintenance of various double track sections in the Copenhagen area. The key works will be:
- Inspection and preventive maintenance of the network to ensure its safety and efficiency.
- Corrective maintenance, with the aim of restoring the infrastructure to a suitable condition to ensure rail traffic and safety.
- Management and resolution of incidents and restoration of services to minimise the impact on users.
With this first contract in Denmark, Azvi strengthens its position as a reference in the railway sector in the Scandinavian market, where it has already installed the first ballastless track in Norway in the Ulriken tunnel and maintains more than 2,000 km of the railway network for Bane NOR.
