Azvi reaches a new milestone in the Chamartín extension project

The project for the extension and major transformation of Chamartín Station enters a new phase with the commissioning of tracks 20 and 21.

Azvi completed the foundation works, which bear the slab track, using 30-metre deep piles connected by tie beams of over 100 metres in length.

In addition, Azvi executed the superstructure over the tracks, which involved the erection of pillars on the tie beams that accommodate the prefabricated beams which support the compression slab. This slab will, in turn, be the new location of the taxi rank. The works have been carried out as a joint venture with COMSA, VÍAS and Grupo San José.
