Azvi starts works on the Granada Metro

Azvi starts the construction of the electrical substation in the second section of the southern extension of the Granada underground.

The works have started with the execution of the pile screen for the earth containment and the excavation of the underground substation that will be located at the interchange.

This substation will be constructed from reinforced concrete, on a single underground level with surface foundations, rectangular pillars and a solid reinforced concrete slab floor.

In addition, work is underway on the area for the future park-and-ride car park, which will accommodate 250 vehicles, as well as the removal of street furniture, demolition of the pavement and excavation for the metro platform and backfilling with selected soil in the most urbanized section of Las Gabias.

Last week, Rocío Díaz, Councillor for Development, Territorial Planning and Housing, visited the works in the area known as La Gloria, where the future interchange, the park-and-ride car park and one of the metro stops will be located.

We continue to work to create sustainable mobility alternatives to improve the quality of life for citizens.
