Azvi will build a new 17.7 km double-track platform on the Riquelme-Torre Pacheco section.
The project includes the construction of:
- Seven viaducts.
- Twelve overpasses, one underpass and a metal footbridge.
- Two replacement sections of the conventional line (3.8 km in Balsicas and 2.2 km in Torre Pacheco).
- 9.47 km of reinforced concrete walls.
- 31 transversal drainage works (ODT).
In addition, Balsicas and Torre Pacheco stations will be upgraded.
During the execution of the works, the existing railway will remain in service, with detours and alternative routes enabled to avoid road traffic interruptions.
These works are carried out in joint venture with Acciona Construcción.
