Celebrating the inauguration of Brazil’s North-South railway line, with 575 km built by Azvi

  • The Brazilian government has recently inaugurated this major railway infrastructure, designed as the country’s backbone for the transportation of grain and agricultural products.

At Grupo Azvi, we are proud to have participated in the Ferrovia Norte-Sul project, a milestone that transforms rail transport and logistics in Brazil.

Azvi carried out a wide range of works over 575 km, including track assembly using our own machinery and personnel deployed to the area, as well as infrastructure maintenance in two sections between Palmas and Uruaçu, in the states of Goiás and Tocantins.

With a total length of 2,257 km, the Ferrovia Norte-Sul was designed to serve as Brazil’s backbone for the transport of grain and agricultural products, crossing four of the country’s five regions.
