Chilean Minister of Public Works Jessica López, accompanied by Regional Presidential Delegate Jorge Díaz, visited the expansion works at Balmaceda Airport to review the progress on this major project, which will strengthen connectivity and drive development in the Aysén region.
During her visit, the minister laid the first stone for the improvement works on the aircraft apron.
Azvi, through Urales Chile, continues with the expansion of the new airport, which will be able to handle up to 1.2 million passengers a year, consolidating it asthe main air gateway to the southern region.
Our work includes the expansion of the passenger terminal to 12,391 m², a new aircraft apron, five new boarding bridges, increased parking capacity for vehicles and various technological improvements.
