Azvi, together with Dragados and Martín Casillas, will build a new section of Granada’s underground network.
The stone-laying ceremony was attended by Rocío Díaz Jiménez, Regional Minister for Development, Territorial Adjustment and Housing, and José María Rivera Zafra, Director of the Andalusian Public Works Agency, among other dignitaries . They were accompanied by Manuel Contreras Caro, President of Grupo Azvi, Juan Jesús García de Pablo, Azvi’s Strategy Director, Carlos Puebla Montalvo, Azvi’s Civil Works Director, and Tomás Jodra Sanz, Azvi’s Special Works Delegate.
This is the second phase of the southern extension of the Granada Underground , which will run for 2 km between Churriana and Las Gabias,Works will include :
- 1.5 km of double track and 500 m of single track.
- Three new stations: La Gloria, Los Chopos and Las Gabias.
- An interchange for different transport systems.
- A park and ride car park to be built within a large green area.
We continue to work towards more sustainable alternatives for transport and mobility to reduce the number of vehicles in the city and improve the quality of life of its citizens.
