Last Friday, 22nd December, the Z Line of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec Railway (FIT) was inaugurated in Mexico, where Construcciones Urales rehabilitated 42 km of track on the Puerto de Salina Cruz-Medias Aguas section.
Among the works carried out with Recsa, the following stand out:
- Correction of curvature radii and gradients.
- Replacement of track, sleepers and ballast.
- Stabilisation of the new track.
- Rehabilitation of the drainage system.
- Repairing and building bridges.
This rail corridor, consisting of the Z, K and FA lines, will connect the Gulf of Mexico with the Pacific Ocean, stimulating economic and commercial development in the region. The Z line is a key part of the project, stretching 308 kilometres from Salina Cruz to Coatzacoalcos.
This project reaffirms Grupo Azvi’s position as a leader in the development of railway infrastructure in the Aztec nation , backed by its century-long expertise in the railway sector.
We are proud to contribute to the improvement of sustainable mobility in Mexico!
