Construcciones Urales carries out the assembly of the Santa Martha curved viaduct in Mexico City

Construcciones Urales has reached an important milestone at Santa Martha station on the Iztapalapa Elevated Trolleybus in Mexico City: it is carrying out the assembly of the metal structures for the curved viaduct.

With lengths ranging from 16 to 38 m and weights between 48 and 120 t, five sections of box-type structures have been hoisted and assembled so far, with the help of different combinations of cranes with capacities between 230 and 500 t, elevating the metal sections to a height of 15 m.

The 105m long, curved viaduct will be composed of two independent bodies (north and south), with a mixed superstructure of concrete slab, in collaboration with a metal box. These commence independently from the elevated Santa Martha station, joining into a single body at the end of the curved viaduct.

This is an essential structure for the Santa Martha transfer station with the Iztapalapa Elevated Trolleybus line.

With these advances, we continue to build a more connected and efficient future in Mexico!
