Today we held the official inauguration of the Las Angosturas bypass attended by the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, the Regional Minister of Public Works, Rocío Díaz, the Regional Minister of Justice, José Antonio Nieto, and the President of Grupo Azvi, Manuel Contreras Caro, The event marked the culmination of a key project to provide users a safer road in Priego de Córdoba. The local mayor, Juan Ramón Valdivia, and other authorities were also in attendance.
Project Highlights:
- Length 5.65 km
- Two 3.5m lanes with 1.5 m shoulders.
- Construction of a 112m bridge over the Río Salado and a 16m crossing over the Los Prados stream.
- Rock blasting
- Slope stabilisation using triple-twist mesh and cable netting.
- Construction of a roundabout providing access to an industrial estate.
To preserve the remains of an important Roman archaeological site which appeared during the execution of the works, a specific 900 m bypass was built to safeguard our historical heritage.
