The new overpass on the RM-19 road towards Murcia is open to traffic, as part of the works carried out by Azvi on the Murcia-Cartagena High Speed Railway, Riquelme-Torre Pacheco section.
- The structure, formed by two, two-lane, bi-directional decks, each one of them with, has a total length of 62.5 m distributed in three spans of 18 m, 26.5 m and 18 m.
- The decks are composed of seven precast double-T beams, on top of which a 13.2 m wide reinforced concrete slab is placed.
- The piers are supported on three 1.20 m diameter concrete shafts, on a foundation of 1.20 m diameter and 23 m deep piles.
- The abutments are founded on thirteen 1.2 m diameter, 21 m deep piles.
- Work on the deck towards San Javier will begin soon.
This new RM-19 overpass, together with the further eleven planned, has been built with larger dimensions and gauge to allow the parallel circulation of the future High Speed double track line next to the conventional Chinchilla-Cartagena line.
The works on the Murcia-Cartagena High Speed railway connection platform, Riquelme-Torre Pacheco section, are carried out in a joint venture with Acciona.
We continue to build the future of sustainable mobility in Spain, creating ways to connect people and places.
