The Madrid Regional Minister of Transport visits Azvi’s works on Metro Line 3

The Regional Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, David Pérez García, has visited the extension works of Metro de Madrid’s Line 3, from El Casar station (Getafe) to Villaverde Alto (Madrid). The project is being carried out by Azvi, together with Cotodisa and Ossa, and has already reached the third underground level of the tunnel that will connect these two stations.

During his visit, the Minister was accompanied by Miguel Núñez, Director General of Infrastructure; Silvia Roldán, CEO of Metro de Madrid; and Roberto Gallardo, CEO of Azvi, among others.

Project progress

At El Casar, we have installed 57 diaphragm wall modules forming the tunnel entrance to the station, representing an excavation depth of more than 14 meters from street level, 17,000 cubic meters of concrete, and 1,000 tons of steel. In addition, we have built 43 vaults and are completing the tunnel rings with the counter-vault.

For Azvi, it is a source of pride to contribute to improving mobility for more than one million users of the Community of Madrid through the expansion of this sustainable and essential infrastructure for its citizens.
