Today marked a major milestone for the future of mobility in Sevilla with the laying of the first stone for Azvi‘s section of the new L3 metro line, which will run between Los Mares and San Lázaro.
The event was attended by the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, the Regional Minister for Public Works, Rocío Díaz, the Mayor of Sevilla, José Luis Sanz, and the Regional Minister for Culture and Sport, Patricia del Pozo. They were joined by other authorities including the delegate of the Government of Andalusia, Pedro Fernández, and the sub-delegate of the Government of Seville, Francisco Toscano, to celebrate a new chapter in the expansion of Seville’ s metro network.
Azvi, alongside Dragados and Martín Casillas, is responsible for the construction of 1.5 km of tunnels in this key project for the city. Two underground stations will also be built.
Also present at the event were Manuel Contreras Caro, President of Grupo Azvi, María José Contreras Caro, member of Grupo Azvi’s board of directors, and company executives Juan Jesús García de Pablo, Carlos Puebla and Tomás Jodra.
