The Association of Civil Engineers, Andalusia demarcation has awarded Tomás Jodra, Azvi’s Special Works delegate, the José María Almendral prize for the engineer of the year in the province of Jaén.
This distinction is awarded to outstanding engineers from Jaén who, have contributed to the value of civil engineering in society and, above all, to the talent in their area throughout their careers.
In the case of Tomás, who now joins the prestigious list of award winners, the award recognises his career spanning more than 25 years, undertaken almost entirely in Azvi, and his vast experience.
Since joining the company, he has participated in projects of different types and technical complexity in Spain, Brazil and Norway with various positions of responsibility.
From his current position as Special Works delegate, he coordinates works such as the Line 3 metro extension in Madrid, the remodelling of Chamartín station and the refurbishment and extension of the old Ulriken tunnel in Norway.
In short, more than 35 projects to his name demonstrate his tremendous value and support the award of this well-deserved prize.
